Limited places for the SA #ACEMFEx Trial OSCE Exam

The SA Trial Fellowship OSCE Exam will be held in Adelaide on Friday 13th of April (an auspicious day).

Here is the booking link-

This trial exam offers:

  • 12 full OSCE stations, just like the real exam
  • Multiple ACEM examiners and senior FACEMs
  • Individual feedback per station
  • Video recording of each station to allow later debrief with DEMT
  • Psychologist advice on approaching high-stakes exams
  • Examiner debrief and advice on the new SCBD stations

It's late notice, and places are filling up quickly - there are only a couple of candidate availabilities left.

Observer Candidates

We do still have a number of observer places, however registration will end this week, so if you want to register it's best to do it as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. These places have now been discounted to $475.
One of the biggest challenges of the OSCE is understanding what is expected, and getting a feel for how a station is run - being an observer is the perfect opportunity for that. We are planning to rotate the observers at the end of the first 6 stations, which will give you an opportunity to sit with 2 examiners, experience the stations (without the stress of being observed!), see how the stations are marked and what examiners look for, and get a feel for what the OSCE feels like.
Not only can you have exposure to a number of very senior and experienced examiners for the college who are involved in this OSCE, lunch and afternoon tea are also provided, as well as the opportunity to be involved in the debrief sessions and the end of day debrief (which includes discussions from examiners regarding the new Standardised Case Based Discussion format, and a short talk from a psychologist on techniques to optimise performance and handle stress on the big day!).
Hope to see you there!
