The FACEM faculty of SA and NT, in collaboration with the Adelaide Health Simulation Centre, is pleased to offer the 2017.2 SA/NT Statewide ACEM Fellowship Trial OSCE on Tuesday 19th September 2017. This examination will take place in the new state of the art Adelaide Health Simulation & Skills Centre.
The trial OSCE is designed to prepare ACEM trainees who have passed or just sat the written fellowship exam for the ACEM OSCE/Clinical. The examination will consist of 8 stations (7 single and 1 double station). The trial is designed to simulate the real OSCE experience as closely as possible with scenarios written by multiple senior FACEMs from SA and the NT and then reviewed by ACEM examiners. After completing the examination candidates will rotate through each of the stations to receive individualised verbal and written feedback.
With the move to the new Simulation Centre, candidates now have the opportunity to be filmed during all of the scenarios with confidential personalised access to the video footage after the exam. This provides the opportunity for candidates to view themselves as the examiners see them and also, if they choose, to receive critique from FACEMs in their home hospitals.
The maximum number of participants for the OSCE session will be 9 so please book early to avoid disappointment. Payment also includes afternoon tea.
